City Market

Sigh. The Charlottesville City Market is over for the season. Despite the near-record drought conditions, it was a great year–great seeing and doing business with old friends and making new ones.

We’ve decided to pass on the Holiday Market this year because, given the damage from drought and microbursts, the late fall workload is heavier than usual. There’s plenty of prepping to do even this late in the year. So don’t hesitate to contact me through this website, on Facebook, or at mcvickerdesigns@gmail.com if you need a hand with your planning or implementation.

Otherwise, friends, we’ll see you in April 2011–when the City Market season gets cranking once again.

Best,

Marc

We’ve been vending at the Charlottesville City Market since 1998. We believe this venue gives us the best opportunity to connect with the public on a personal level, and to sell a plant or two. It also gives our gardening clients an opportunity to look at examples of our work, to choose plants for their gardens, to meet about ongoing projects, or just to stop by and shoot the breeze.

Every Saturday at the Water Street parking lot in Charlottesville (except in July): Be there, aloha.

We love the City Market, and, as you see, we’ve been working it for years. One thing we’ve learned, though, is that no one wants to buy plants in the heat of the summer. So we generally take a break from the Market until later in August, with the approach of the fall planting season.

So as of Aug. 21 we’re back at the market and will be for the duration, depending on weather. And if you need to between Saturdays, you can contact me through this website, on Facebook, or at mcvickerdesigns@gmail.com.

Thanks!
